Dr. Patrick Lawler

Patrick Lawler is a cardiologist and clinician-scientist at the McGill University Health Centre in Montreal and the Peter Munk Cardiac Centre at University Health Network in Toronto. His current research are aimed at developing precision-medicine approaches for the prevention and treatment of critical illness.  This work has a scientific focus on thrombosis, inflammation, and metabolism, at the mechanistic intersection between cardiovascular diseases and severe infection. He supervises a program of research which employs clinical trials, clinical epidemiology, and translational methods. He also has an interest in post-sepsis cardiovascular disease complications.
